After an unpleasant experience with a dog  of unknown filiation, we searched for a child friendly, reliable and most of all gentle family dog. The result was the Bernese Mountaindog. We felt so good with this dog that from, one, came two, came three, and finally it grew to be our Bernese Mt.dog kennel. The shorthaired Great Swiss also got our attention, and for several years they are part of our kennel.
